Gen21 Workflow Management
Gen21 Workflow is a tool which helps users to keep track of the tasks assigned to them as well as to the managers to keep track of assigned work to their subordinates. Gen21 Workflow creates the jobs automatically depending on the action performed by users and also capable of creating sequential jobs.
Gen21 Workflow has a user configurable workflow layer. It also has flexible process definition. Gen21 Workflow also has a dashboard which shows the assigned tasks, pending tasks, job priorities, percentage of work done etc.
Features
Some of the features of Gen21WorkFlow are as follows
- Configurable workflow layer
Gen21Workflow can be configured as per user requirement. User can configure different Process types, Priorities, Process Statuses, User Groups.
- Flexible Process definitions
Processes in Gen21WorkFlow can be of 2 types
- Predefined: These processes are already defined in Gen21WorkFlow which are triggered by user action. User can define more tasks assignments within these processes. These processes are related to actions taken by user in Gen21.
- User Defined: These kinds of processes can be defined by authorized users (Administrator) and tasks to be performed under these processes. Individual user can add more tasks if required. (If tasks are not defined in that process). These processes are out of Gen21 and will not be triggered by any action taken by user in Gen21.
- Auto job creations and assignments
For Predefined process Gen21 uses templates. These templates have processes and tasks defined under the process. The Administrator can assign each task to users. Using these templates, when an action is taken place in Gen21 system automatically creates a new process and tasks. These tasks are allocated to users as per template. Administrator can still change the assignment of user. Validity or expiry date can also be assigned to the task.
- User preference setting
User can change the layout of the dashboard, he can add more columns or remove existing columns form dashboard. These setting are saved for each user.
- Dashboard for pending tasks and priorities
Gen21Workflow has a dashboard for each user, which shows all the tasks assigned to user, pending tasks, and priorities for the task, % of work done, estimated hours and actual hours spent on the task.
- Alerts and Emails
Gen21Workflow has facility to send emails to the respective user after allocation of task. The email can be configured for each user and can be sent to their inbox.
- .NET Framework and Web-based tracking
Gen21Workflow is designed using .NET Framework. It can be hosted on a web server using IIS (Internet Information Services). User can access Gen21WorkFlow through browser. Currently supports Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, IE 6.0 and above.
- Reporting
Gen21Workflow has comprehensive reporting. Each user can see there own task report based on Task type, Description. Date etc. Administrator has a facility to get overall report for all user groups and for all tasks. He can get reports based on user, task, date etc. Gen21Workflow also has a facility to create custom reports. User can select the field listed and create their own reports as required.
Dashboard Features
- Personalized View for each User
Gen21WorkFlow offers personalized view to each user. User can hide or show columns they want. They can sort based on columns. User can also filter the task assigned to them. Filtering can be done based on User groups, Task status, task type, priorities etc.
- Online Statistics for following:
- Processes initiated
- Jobs Completed
- Jobs Pending
- Jobs on Priority
- To-Do List for the User who Logs in Workflow Application
Dashboard shows the tasks assigned to a user as soon as he logs in to the Gen21Workflow. It shows task assigned only to the logged in user. Administrator can see all the processes and all the tasks assigned to all the users.
- Statistics for the Percentage of Jobs Pending, In-complete etc.
Gen21Workflow shows statistics of the percentage of work done. Estimated efforts, actual efforts, Due date for task etc. User can also export these lists of task to Excel for further analysis.
- Message Centre
Gen21Workflow also has a facility to send mail through Message Centre. The sender can select individual user or can select whole user group to send the message.
